November 7th, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

The advent of video sharing sites have made communicating through moving images almost effortless. These sites allow users to upload video and share it with the public at large or invited guests. Most video sharing sites also enable other types of social communication such as text/audio/video commenting, like/disklike-based voting systems, profiles, traversal through profile connections, as well as many more.

I am torn between the fact that there is lots of good “valuable” information, but I hate losing hours watching kittens riding the roomba.nnI have never posted to YouTube, most because I don’t believe that my 15 minutes of fame is that valuable to the world at large.

I agree that YouTube has a multitude of great information, but as with all tools, management is important!

Good discussion about the possibilities of video sharing. Encouraging kids to expand their creativity and demonstrate their learning with the tools provided is a good thing. People had differing opinions on publishing on a public site.

Stewart makes a great point on all things have pros and cons, and the discussion of those is a great value.
